The example given in game is a teenager trying to grow a mustache, but over did it. before every game the GM has to roll 1d6, and if you exceed the target number by over that much? You over did it, and there are (silly) consequences. However, there's a rule called "Over Doing It" that has to be kept in mind. There are several social subsystems out there as well.Ĭlick to expand.Teenagers From Outer Space ought work well. It depends if you want narrative or something more traditional.

There are: Fate or Fate Accelerated Big Eyes Small Mouth OVA Fudge GURPS Cortex Plus (most likely the Drama version, like Smallville, probably) The Maid RPG Schoolgirl RPG (after taking out the fantastic stuff, based on The Maid RPG mechanics) Burning Wheel maybe Risus (for comedy stuff) Teenagers from Outer Space (take out the sci-fi stuff) and so much more.ĮTA: From what I've encountered, the most simple systems I've seen that can be adapted are Fate, Fate Accelerated, Fudge, Schoolgirl RPG, OVA, and maybe Teenagers From Outer Space or Risus (for more comedic wacky stuff).

I assume it would be just.normal, low-level life stuff like regular drama storylines and stuff (but maybe mixed with some humor). (It's not like the superheroes genre or fantasy magic genres, where some systems can't really handle high level stuff, or having to deal with multiple methods or subsystems of powering magic or superpowers.) There are systems that do social stuff like Cortex Plus and a bunch of other indie systems. If you want realistic details, then GURPS can be a way to go and so on. If you like metacurrency and descriptive Aspects, then Fate may be the way to go. Just choose a system, or a generic system, and run with it. Many systems can handle low-powered stuff. (Which is probably most systems.) What makes anime "anime"? Especially a slice of life without fantastic stuff-which is.pretty much like regular life? A normal slice of life anime.is pretty much possible with any system that allows normal stuff.
